What cricket actually demands

Front-leg block for bowlersFast bowlers land with several times their body weight on the front leg. We build that strength so pace does not cost the back.
Back and trunk resilienceLumbar stress injuries are common in young fast bowlers. We train trunk control and manage bowling workload.
Rotational powerBat speed comes from the hips and trunk. Med-ball and loaded rotation work turns strength into distance.
Sprint and turnQuick starts, sharp turns at the crease and repeat sprints between wickets.
Fielding athleticismDiving, getting up fast, and throwing hard from the boundary with a healthy shoulder.
Season planningHeavier strength work off-season, maintenance and recovery during the season.

Who trains at SVNP

Built for cricketers, not general fitness.

Coach Alex coaches our cricketers, youth and adult. Every athlete starts with a force plate test so we can see front-leg block strength, landing control and left-vs-right differences before we train.

FAQ

Can you help prevent back injuries in young fast bowlers?

We cannot promise no injuries, but we train the trunk and hip strength fast bowlers need, watch landing mechanics, and help plan bowling workload with your coach.

Do you train adult club cricketers?

Yes. We train youth and adult players, from beginners to competitive club players.

What does the force plate test show?

Jump power, how quickly force is produced, landing control and left-vs-right balance. We re-test to show progress.

Where is the training?

At our gym inside Evo Sports Club, 2790 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, about 5 miles from Cupertino and Sunnyvale.
